A great showman with an equally great talent for accordeon, and a typical Quebec (city) style, Mr. Thomassin also composed a few tunes that are now part of the standard repertoire.

From the fifties, after having learned from the group Les montagnards Laurentiens, Mr. Thomassin appeared on radio, on TV, and, mostly, on stage (often abroad). He was a member of the group l'Ensemble Gilbert Trudel, and, quite recently, the Groupe sans âge.
